Thousand Hills Cattle Co.
These folks are the real deal. They offer fabulous grass-fed beef products, the kind of beef your grandparents had growing up--no drugs, no weird stuff, lots of good old fashioned care and quality. But don't be mislead that these farm folks aren't tied into the "real" world--bio-diesel trucks (they smell like French fries coming down the street), great web site with lots of info, and the kind of "people" service you expect from the high-end boutiques. No other choice to be made when it comes to beef products.

Martha's Garden
Our local floral artist and friend who does incredible things with flowers and plants. We have stopped by her studio for flowers on special occasions (saved me on Valentines Day, thank you Martha!) or to grace our tables. In support of our local businesses she is our only call for fine floral design. Check out her web site for a look at her work. Amazing!

Hampden Park Co-op
Right up the street from the cafe, this is where we go for small treats like chocolate covered pretzels or awesome organic or local hand-fruit. Hampden Co-op is a neighborhood fixture, an oasis in some ways from the big box grocery stores that are distant and generic.

Theresa Handy Artist
Artist extrodinare, painter, creative thinker. We have been fortunate to have her work hanging in our cafe for the 2 1/2 years we've been open. Her works reminds me of my long hikes in the prairie and the days I spent wandering America. Good stuff. Her web site (link on the picture) has many of her new pieces and contact info.

Neptune Cafe Italiana
Long time friend, great cook, and crazy enough to open his own restaurant in Blaine. I know a little something about Blaine and the northern suburbs as an old Medtronic worker bee. The community has been begging and crying for less chains (though they keep getting more! Stop already!) and more of the little, chef/owner kinds of places all their "city" friends have. Well, I definitely think he is worth a visit. Tell him I sent you, he'll probably laugh and tell you he never heard of me.

Ne-Art
"You must have bought that neon sign on-line," he quipped. Shy as a mouse I said yes, and cursed my luck--both at being ratted out and at having purchased my second neon sign (on-line) in less than two years. But great neon repair work is done here. On time and without hurting the pocket book too much. Enough said.
They do custom stuff, old and new signs, and lots of old beer stuff is hanging around the shop.
